For the past 5 years, the nationally-acclaimed musicians of Paradiso Strings have been enchanting audiences across South East Queensland, performing 100s of shows annually in a variety of non-traditional venues. Their eclectic repertoire — spanning pop and rock icons, jazz legends, and classical masterpieces — continues to captivate and inspire a diverse audience.

In this special Sunshine Coast Chamber Music Festival event, Paradiso Strings will transport audiences with timeless music from the golden age of cinema. In the romantic and intimate setting of one of the coast’s favourite small halls, they’ll breathe new life into legendary scores from films such as The Magnificent Seven, James Bond, Casablanca, Titanic, and Star Wars. Bring the whole family for a nostalgic evening filled with magic, romance, and adventure.

PARADISO STRINGS

Paradiso Strings is a leading string ensemble known for their vibrant musical performances. Their four players - Grace Choi, Iris Doo, Nara Dennis and Deborah Davis - have studied and played professionally both in Australia and around the world. They combine their many years of musical experience with versatile arranging, programming and presentation talents. Together, they create engaging performances which showcase the refreshing combination of classical instruments and contemporary styles. Their wide repertoire spans all genres from classical through to jazz, rock and pop. 

Paradiso Strings have performed over 50 different programs for Candlelight Concerts by Fever™, bringing the string quartet to a whole new audience and winning praise for their dynamic and innovative approach. Their commitment to authentic and engaging performances has brought them an enthusiastic and loyal following across South East Queensland and assisted Paradiso Strings in fulfilling their mission: to deliver high-quality chamber music that fosters a deep emotional connection between audiences and the music.
