A Celebration of Voice & Piano

SCCMF will present a free Chamber Music lunchtime concert at the Churches of Christ Care Home residents, their families, and staff.

This concert is part of the festival’s Community Engagement Program - which aims to bring music to communities who are unable to access the main festival events and build the region's cultural capacity through an emerging artist mentoring program.  It also profiles some of Queensland’s most exciting new talent and future superstars of the classical and chamber music worlds.  

In 2023, pianist Reuben and soprano Gianna forged a strong creative connection when they were selected to work together as part of the inaugural 2023 Queensland Art Song Festival. In this Celebration of Voice & Song concert, they will share a selection of their favourite solo piano repertoire, lieder, art songs and beloved arias. 

Past alumni of the Community Engagement Program, which aims to identify and profile Australia’s up and coming classical music superstars, include Alex Raineri (Artistic Director of the Brisbane Music Festival), Courtney Cleary, Francis Atkins, and Camilo Lopez (Artistic Director of Voxalis).
