Youth Ambassador Program

Are you passionate about classical music?
Are you committed to creating a career in the arts?
Do you want to meet some of Australia’s finest classical musicians?
Are you interested to see how an arts festival runs?

The Sunshine Coast Chamber Music Festival (SCCMF) is looking for passionate, creative, and ambitious future arts leaders to be part of the festival’s new Youth Ambassador Program in 2024.

The Youth Ambassador Program is part of the festival’s mission to support emerging artists and grow a rich and vibrant arts ecology on the Sunshine Coast. It’s also about giving young people who aspire to becoming professional artists the opportunity to taste what it’s like to be involved in a national festival!

The SCCMF Youth Ambassadors represent what we believe the future of the Australian arts sector looks like.

APPLICATIONS OPEN: 25 April, 2024 —> APPLICATIONS CLOSE: Monday 13 May, 2024

Role Description

Youth Ambassadors (Grade 11-12 / University or TAFE students (Under 25)) will be invited to attend all of the 2024 festival concerts for free, working alongside Artistic Directors Dr Lynne Bradley & James Lees, as well as the festival Marketing Manager Danielle Aquilina, to welcome our audiences and support our team at each venue on the night. The Ambassadors will also get to meet the featured artists for each event back stage before the concerts begin.
Therefore it is critical that applicants can attend most of the concerts across the festival weekend.

Please submit your application by answering all the questions below. If you’d prefer to send a short video instead, please keep it to 3 minutes.

If you have any questions about the application or the festival itself, please email Lynne Bradley on ad@sccmf.com.au.
